• Designed primarily for use with TEXT files. Cannot handle formatted files created by most word processors.
• Some processes limit incoming and outgoing lines to a maximum length of 255 characters, truncating longer lines. Processes which limit line length display a message to that effect in the “Process Select” window.
Note: Add/Strip will warn you if it thinks it MAY have truncated one or more lines. However, there are some instances in which it may not be aware of truncation.
• The “Browse TEXT File…” option will only display the first 10-25k of text.
• Replacement strings are limited to 20 characters, cannot contain CRs, and only operate within a line OR 220 character (160 when “Tabs -> Space Runs” is used) block within a line, whichever is shorter.
